We are blessed in NY with wonderful State Parks. Even though we have a house on Coneseus Lake we still enjoy going to the big lake and Hamlin is a great way to do that. We love walking the beaches near the water. We take...More

This is one of the most beautiful beaches I have been to. Nature at its best. A combination of majestic woods, manicured grounds and view of Lake Ontario that can't be rivaled. If you love nature you will love this park!

We stopped at the beach on a whim and sure glad we did. The kids stretched their legs, found a few skipping rocks and generally had a great time playing on and around the beach. Plenty of walking trails to enjoy the wonderful park areas...More

Beautiful park with nice walkways for walking along Lake Ontario. You can also camp here. Camping is not available all year and is seasonal but you can enter the park any day for walking, biking, or picnicking. During open season admission is NY State Parks...More

We camped here the last weekend it was open in the fall. It has long stretches of beach, individual sites sectioned off with bushes. Some sites are very open, some a little more private. All seem to have short driveways for the number of cars...More

We checked out all of the "areas" and decided to explore a couple of them further. We walked along Beach #4 because there was nobody else there - and it had the most interesting looking areas for us to explore. My daughter built a sand...More

Went camping there with family and every time we turn around we encountered more rules, especially around the swim areas. I'm fine with rules as long as they are consistent. Two lifeguards watched us toss a ball amongst our group for an hour and then...More

Hamlin Beach State Park is a wonderful area with miles and miles of hiking trails and bicycle paths. The path crosses through five major areas, numbered creatively as one-through-five, each with its own beach, rental buildings, playgrounds, and more. Hundreds of families use the cookout...More

I have not stayed in the shelters so I can not directly answer this question. I would call the park and ask. Sorry I could not be of more help.

You can swim there now. The latest water test was good. It is recommended to call before you go. The number is 585-964-2462. That would be your best resource for information about the pavilions as well. Hope it works out.
