The museum gives a great history about Long Island Whaling, shipbuilding AND the whaling industry. How does one get the whale? How is it brought to shore? What were the uses of the parts of the whale?

My date and I enjoyed the Whaling Museum and learned a lot about Long Island's whaling industry from the various exhibits, artifacts and interactive things throughout the museum. Great place to take older kids, too, for a wonderful and fun learning experience.
