Went here a couple of times during a quick ABQ trip. We were hunting a reported sighting of a Golden Crowned Sparrow which, unfortunately, we did not see. But we did see a nice variety of other birds including a Crisssal Thrasher - awesome. Nice...More

The Embudito Trail seems far less busy than La Luz. It is just as challenging a climb, though. The views are spectacular, and just get better the higher you climb. The side trail to South Peak seems pretty clearly marked. Just after the side trail...More

This trail offers a multitude of views for runners, bikers, and daytime walkers with dogs. Stay in the foothills for these activities or pack a lunch and head into the mountains with your favorite two-legged or four-legged friend.
