I really enjoyed this walk but think it needs some cleanup. Very clean but trails overgrown. Very peaceful.

Pretty decent little state park - only $5 a car. The hiking is pretty easy desert hiking - take water, sunscreen, and lots of bug spray! Visitor center is small...but has AC.

Stopped while in las Cruces, only a few miles from KOA. I’m out of season, but everything is well maintained. Visitor center, restrooms, parking good. Small garden, and trails to rio grande

If you want a place to see the Rio Grande and birds, this is a great park. It's close to Old Mesilla and gives you a real feel for how important the river was (is) to the desert!
