Stopped by to see this church.. The history tells us that many have been healed touching the dirt in the chapel. No photos are allowed in the church. A small side room entered from a door near the alter leads to the area where the...More

A very spiritual and peaceful place. The grounds are beautiful and the tiny chapel has a deep sense of peace.

We were driving from Santa Fe to Taos. We had heard about a place where people have experienced miraculous healing. The chapel and gift shops were nice. The crutches and pictures were touching. We attended the small Catholic mass with several villagers and tourists. This...More

This is considered the Lourdes of the USA given the high number of pilgrims coming to pray for healing (of every kind). The chapel interior itself has a wonderful Mexican folk art design and the grounds are well maintained. Catholic or not, it is worth...More

No you don't crawl into it. It's a church so daytime hours I would think. It's a holy site.

The room where the Holy Dirt is, is small. There is no place that I know of where you would have to crawl to gain entrance.
