It was part of a tour so we didn't have a choice. You get a 5 minute demonstration on how they culture pearls and then they schlep you through their gaudy show room of overpriced jewelry. We walked on the beach instead while we waited...More

Nice enough pearl opening but whoever takes you there is on a commission. so in a taxi bus or bike everyone wants to take you there for the above reason. If they want to do that it needs a new building rather than whats there...More

You get a chance to learn about pearls, see how they’re produced and have the opportunity to buy at the shop on-site.

If you really have nothing to do, go there. It shop with probably 2 minuets introductions about pearls. I’m not expert about pearls, but prices in the shop are expensive. We stopped there just because it was on the way.

Nothing to do with farming pearls, just an overpriced tourist-trap. Went here as an part of island tour and it wasnt skippable.

Nice selection of all sorts of different pearls. Leather too - crocodile... shoes, belts, etc. Great eye candy but prices are quite high. Bargain hard - they WILL work with you but it takes time...
