This Buddha statue is the biggest reclining Buddha in the world, and when you see it you will be amazed! I enjoy the outside surroundings rather than climbing up towards the Buddha.

They say this is the largest statue of Buddha in the world! There is also a huge line of monk statues as you come up the road. There is a mausoleum of the man who founded this place. Overall, worth a stop!

A rather kitsch and depressing place to visit, so unless you're keen to say you've been to the largest lying down Buddha in the world, give it a miss.

You really can get inside Buddha’s head – literally! Inside the Buddha are dioramas of his life. If your guide is any good s/he will know most of the stories they depict. TIP: Use your smart phone to record the stories, they’ll complement any pictures...More
