While the food and winery at La Motte are amazing and beautiful, the hike is a not-to-be-missed experience different to most Franshhoek activities. The 5km hike is through the vineyards and mountain (it is difficult in places) and is fantastic. We even saw Baboons!

We went to 5 wineries in franschhoek, and this was by far the best wine tasting we had. The wines are great and the place is beautiful! We did not eat there , but it seems like a great restaurant

We are from California and this was our first South African tasting. Laid back, informative and downright civilized. We enjoyed it a lot. And they made shipping to US easy. So I purchased some wine for home. I also love the Pinot age.
