A younger crowd may give this a higher rating, and so they should. But for families and older folks, there are better alternatives. In the end it is your choice.

Folks have been flocking to Belmar to enjoy the great beach for decades. The place gets packed in the summer so get there early. The night life is another reason young folks love Belmar.

What a pleasant surprise. The beach is clean and people are nice. Good place to visit in September. Small boardwalk with minimal lowlifes.

In the summer memorial day to labor day I think it is 8 dollars a person. I think it is free at all other times because there is no life guards on duty.
