Nice town, with a lot of shops where you can pick anything you desire. Shops are closing rather early than in Europe so check out your time schedule!

Despite the arctic freeze, we braved the cold to explore Portsmouth. Market Square had a lot of unique shops and restaurants. For a small place, it held my interest for hours. There were a few businesses with limited winter hours so I can only imagine...More

Great walkable downtown area with a lot to do. There were shops for the children as well as the parents. I'll be revisiting during the summer to spend more time in the area.

We attended the Tree Lighting and Christmas Parade. Great fun. The town is so friendly and supportive of their activities. Great shops, restaurants, bars.

Stores and restaurants stay open. The weather in New Hampshire can be tricky. However my wife and I love going to Portsmouth in the winter because the tourist are gone and the food is great. Just bundle up.

There's a wonderful sea water beach ar New Castle Common. There's a large playground, well manicured lawn with trees then a beach & water but also rocks to climb and explore.
