We've been going to Candlelight Stroll at Strawbery Banke for at least five years now. They have been out of this world, but last night (12/16) was a disappointment. The younger roleplayers on the whole were much more engaging than the adults, aside from the...More

It was a nice day for a walk and there were quite a few buildings to see. A guided tour would have helped the experience. It would be a good historical field trip for children.

Fun event to celebrate and get in the Christmas spirit. Music, children's activities, ice skating in a beautiful town. Highly recommend spending the evening. Great hot chocolate with Baileys added to the "spirit."

Really enjoyed the 90 minute tour about Thanksgiving in the past, it was really interesting to see how thanksgiving would of been during three different times in US history. It was done really well and I would say it would be great for a family...More

My friends and I had a great time at strawberry banke. We loved the fun learning experience and the gorgeous homes and gardens. This very accurately represented the past and had young children the adults wanting more. I would definitely take this trip again for...More

It’s a wonderful thing how the buildings and ‘sets’ have been lovingly maintained and shared for all to experience. It would have been easy to knock down houses and just forget the amazing history our port city has been a part of. Each house is...More

Strawberry Banks is not a seasonal attraction so it will be available for you and it is self guided. I hope you enjoy it. The employees make it very interesting and educational.

I didn't see any while I was visiting there. I doubt they'd be allowed in the historic buildings. Worth a call to ask

Our candle light stroll included a special dinner at the tavern (only at Xmas). Taking this into consideration, one should allow at least 3 hours. A lot of this depends on any lines that one may have to stand in to get... More
