The rail trail system is really wonderful for being able to get outside and not have to hassle with traffic. It is well maintained and relatively flat so it is great for all endurance levels.

The Northern Rail Trail runs 11 or so miles in mid-New Hampshire just east of the Connecticut River. Mainly flat, much of the way it's adjacent to the Mascoma River. Great path for a bike ride, walk or cross-country skiing in the winter.

We rode this trail for the first time, the trail is not "paved", it is hard packed with small rocks and sand/ earth/muddy in some places. The bushes seem to make the trail look narrow in most places. It could be real nice if this...More

We walked a mile one way from Enfield past the old mills and the weir, then a mile the other way past Lake Mascoma. It's easy walking, level and wide. I wouldn't have driven miles to it, as there are lots of other walking opportunities,...More

The rail trail between Lebanon and Canaan, NH is ideal for a dog walk, a run or a bike ride. The section along Lake Mascoma is particularly beautiful.

We use the trail quite often, as we live close by. Always a pleasant ride. Could use a little maintenance, but still fun and very busy!

Great riding on wonderfully kept trains. Signs are easily seen as are bridge crossing and intersections. The foliage and stone walls around the trail are beautiful

I can vouch that there are stores in Lebanon (the beginning), Enfield, Canaan, Grafton and Danville. I can't say past that.
