Approx 3 miles loop trail, parking at the base, $5 per car. My suggestion is take the left trail up, it spaces out the elevation inclines. This is approx 2100 feet gain in elevation throughout the hike, so bring snacks! Probably take about 2-3 hours,...More

We stopped into this site so we could go over the covered bridge in our convertible. We also discovered that there was some trails that lead down to the Swift River. We stayed a little while and put our feet in to the water which...More

We had intended to hike up Tuckerman's to the cascades or even further but it was very snowy up high still so we went with plan B. Loved seeing the covered bridge, and no bugs out yet.

We enjoyed the walk w/ friends and family (kids as well). Covered bridge was a sight to see on it's own. We located the boulder which we think the loop is named after.

Wow, beautiful but the guides rate it as easy. Maybe for some but not for us & we are in pretty good shape. 3 miles with the last 1/2 mile pretty much straight up. BUT once you get to the top the views are amazing!

This hike has a great starting point at the Albany covered bridge. The counterclockwise route is steeper but still quite easy. Views are nice but not as good as some other nearby hikes of similar difficulty.

If you can do a moderate hike, this one is very nice. It is right off the kancamagus, not far from Rt16. There are two places to view the kanc and surrounding mountains from top. I recommend going clockwise, as the trail is circular. It...More
