Its the best for windsurfing lessons! You don’t need to swim if you fall of the surf because the water is not so deep and you can walk to the spot where you want to get back on the surf 🤙

We heard we were a bit unlucky since there wasn’t enough wind in the beginning of our week which is very uncommon at this place, but the last 3 days there had good wind (18-25 knots) and it was a perfect spot for me since I’m an “experienced beginner”. The worse thing that could happen was that I needed to swim a few meters after fall to reach the bottom and jump up with a beach start again since the bay is like an U. You dont need to be scared for drifting out. We rented the gears from Karpathos Windsurf with a decent price and with an owner with great knowledge who also did a lesson with us. Since there’s a direct flight from Sweden (charter flights) during the season, we will probably go here again since it’s a great place for windsurfing! Hopefully we will be advanced enough to go to the nearby beaches (gun bay and devils bay) soon which have stronger winds. Truly recommend both for beginners and enthusiasts!…

The perfect beach to learn how to windsurf. Nicely organized with stations to rent gear for windsurfing. The beach itself is like a lagoon with wind!!
