From the V&T train station we drove a couple of blocks to visit the St Mary church. We went to the Museum and saw historical church vestments and pictures and paintings. Admired the beautiful stained glass windows in the main church.

We like visiting churches. This is a great historical little church. Enjoyed visiting this building and taking photos - inside and out.

This church is magnificent. We have been to Churches all over the world and St Mary’s ranks up there as one of the most beautiful. We spent two hours visiting and learning so much history. St Marys is a must see.

This 1800’s Catholic Church sits just off the Main Street in Virginia City. While I t’s still in use today you can sneak in a tour as long as there’s nothing on the calendar and even then, events are usually short so there’s plenty opportunity...More

Each time we visit Virginia City we make a pilgrimage to St. Mary’s in the Mountains church. The outside architecture is elegant, but the inside is a masterpiece in wood. From the stairway to the organ pavilion to the trusses in the ceiling to the...More
