Very clever to house the exhibits in the old jail cells. Interesting information and items on display. We really, really enjoyed our time there!!!!! GO.

When we were visiting Virginia City, we went to the Storey County Courthouse. The original courthouse was lost to a fire in 1875 and was rebuilt in 1877. There is a free museum to learn more about history of the court house and area.

There is a free museum in the courthouse. It was the old jail. The museum is not expansive, but It gives the history of Virginia City. There is also a continuing video/slide show of the area's history, as well as current history. Some is about...More

This old courthouse, still in use, has been in place for more than a century. The architecture is classic, and the building is in great shape for its age.
