Cool sunny November afternoon and I had some time to get outside. Parking was easy, and I walked both sides of the river. Homeless folks were present but I never felt uncomfortable or unsafe. Delighted to find a coffee shop (Hub) at my turn-around point....More

Pleasant place to walk with nice scenery. It was clean. It was sad and uncomfortable to see several homeless people there. I felt safe; it's just sad to see it, especially knowing it's getting cold at nights.

Reno, nicknamed "Drano" isn't known for its cute or cool places. This, however, was a real surprise and quite lovely. There are many murals in town too.

The Riverwalk area of Reno has the potential to be amazing, but the high homeless population along the river made us feel unsafe. We walked by two volatile situations within two minutes. And there were quite a few people that seemed to be passed out...More

We were there for a meeting and hung out at this area before our flight. Such a pretty area. If you so incline, there are places that you can splash around in the river, get ice cream or try your luck at the casino.

We walked down here several times, trees were turning and it was beautiful. Great place to walk during the day time, wide sidewalk and goes down to a large regional park. Huge trees in some areas and great view of the river and the cliffside...More

We attended a wedding in a gazebo and enjoyed the location, views, and serenity of the river. Were we ever surprised when a couple of Fishermen came up the stairs from the river. I guess fly fishing is popular right downtown. :-). Cool and relaxing...More

If you come to Reno, you have to take a stroll down the Truckee River Walk. Tons of bars, restaurants, museums and galleries to take in along the way. And if it's summer, jump right in the river and cool off with a nice swim.

It will be a lovely day, almost any time of year, the river flows by, the shopping, parks and restaurants all are great to sit outside and enjoy the city.

We didn't spend much time on the River Walk. It looks like at one time it would have been a great afternoon, but the campers have moved in and makes it unpleasant.

There are parking options ranging from garges, nearby casinos to local side streets. Island Ave near Wingfield Park appeared to have plenty of quiet and free spots to park.

Yes, business will be open all year, sans the outdoor eating areas. More businesses and shops coming in all the time.
