This was part of the downtown revitalization projects of the last decade or so and it is really nice. Good place for a walk, and there are a number of shops and cafes in the area.

We were in Reno for a week and I walked this area every morning for exercise. I enjoyed the river and the shops along the way, but the trash and homeless people make it less appealing. I had to stop once and check on the...More

What an improvement over 20 years ago, Reno. Someone had vision and someone had the gift of action, and you made our river beautiful again. Kudos and I love the River Walk and whole district. It makes me proud of my city.

This is a must do. It is fun for the whole family. Along the river in Downtown Reno, there are shops and bars along the way. Something for everyone.

What a chaming walk along the Truckee River. Our only regret was that it was not longer. Cute bars and shops along the way.

I took this walk during the day with no event going on and I am glad I did. The sounds and views are beautiful. Absolutely loved this!!

This is a nice place to take a walk, grab a coffee of light meal and see what some of the locals do for fun. The summer is a great time to see folks out enjoying a local family spot.

Looks like several people have already answered your question. I would walk south through the casinos and out the door of the ElDorado its a very quick walk 5 - 8 minutes along the old strip to the River. From there you... More

Yes, business will be open all year, sans the outdoor eating areas. More businesses and shops coming in all the time.
