    First visit to Las Vegas
Myself and my wife recently visited Las Vegas for the first time. We had several things we wanted to do and one of them being - taking a picture in front of the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign. The sign is a little way from the main strip but its easy to access via a regular bus although there is nothing else to do around it. There is usually a lot of people waiting for photographs and you may have to wait a while although myself and my wife took a really good picture slightly to the side of the side and this avoided all the queues. Think this definately confirms you've "been to Vegas" but there are also similar signs in place around the City. Recommend a visit

    Fun photo experience
We took a taxi from the Venetian to the Pinball Museum and then walked a block to get to the sign which is past the Mirage on the southern end of the Strip. It's in the middle of the road and there was a long line to take a photo but if you stand off to the side and frame it right you don't need to wait in line. Have been to Vegas many times and never done this so it was fun. The part that sucked was getting back...we walked from the sign back down the strip and did things along the way but it is a long walk!

    Photo Op
People pretty much just stand in line and take pictures for the people in front of them, so your group photo quality depends on the random person behind you having photography skills. We lost that lottery. Oh well. I'll come back next time I'm in Vegas and try again. We still got nice pictures of the sign without people in it.

    It's a sign, nothing more
It's a sign. Bigger than I thought it'd be. Was a long line of folks wanting to get a pic in front of it on a Sunday morning. We didn't want to wait so went off to the side and took a picture from afar. There isn't much parking. I think it would be total chaos during a busier time of the day.

The Pics Make It Worth It
We went around sunset and the photos came out beautifully. Avoid standing in the huge line and just take your photos to the ‘side’ of the sign. It’s still a great view and if you know your angles then 9 times out of 10 you can get one without no one in the background. I wouldn’t trust anyone to take a photo of you unless you also take one of them as I’ve heard there are scammers around the sign who will offer a photo and charge obscene amounts of money. There’s also some really cute street vendors offering refreshing treats. At the end of the day it’s just a sign but it’s iconic.

    Worth a Picture
We walked down to the sign and stopped along the way and grabbed the bus back. not surprised to see a queue but we stood to the side and captured the moment by and helpful tourist. Obviously as you are on outskirt of Las Vegas not much else there.

The Las Vegas sign is fabulous
After 6 visits to Vegas, finally made it to the fabulous Las Vegas sign. We visited at the start of our trip during the day and at the end of our trip at night. Both times there were lines for picture but everyone was respectful and waited their turn and everyone got their due time. There are “workers” at the front of the line that will take your pictures. The service is free and optional but it is worth the few dollars in tips for the shots they will get for you. During the day it was hot, but there were vendors selling drinks and snacks while you waited, so the wait did not seem that long. At night there were many intoxicated people there and not so sure I would take my young children there in the evening. The sign is definitely something that should be seen in Vegas and it is unfortunate we were not able to see it sooner.

    Great start to the trip
We visited the sign on the first day; we were jet lagged and up early. I think we got to the sign for about 8:30am and there was no queues, no one around bar a friendly gentleman who was working and offered to take pictures for us. Of course - we tipped him for his generosity - but I see no problems as he took lots of pictures for a once in a lifetime opportunity - and they turned out great! I would definitely recommend visiting early in the day so you beat the queue lines.

    A must do
A must do! Everyone needs their cliche Welcome To Las Vegas sign photos. There is very little shade here, and no seating. A guy was at the front taking photos for a tip. He was great and we tipped $5, you don't need him to take the photos it does just make things easier.

    A must visit!!!
A must see in vegas! We arrived at around 8am and there was no queue. We got an Uber down to the sign (from the Bellagio) and walked back weaving in and out of the casinos which was great. Friendly chap took plenty of our photos. Tipped $10 and he was very grateful. Took 12 pics overall.

The vegas sign! It’s a must see when visiting vegas, you can’t visit vegas without coming here for a photo! Just don’t get scammed by the rude men wanting to take your photo for money, who get short with you when you say no! Plenty of friendly people in the queue who will take your photo for you.. just return the favour for them!

Massively popular sign you have seen in films and tv. Part of the history of Vegas. Great there is proper parking so you can easily get there by taxi or walk it if your hotel is nearby. Lots of photos. Good in day but best lit up at night. Popular place to go, safe and clean environment around. Popular selfie stop.

Yea, great photo opp! Not much else to say about that ahaha. There will be a decent amount of people there but it was nothing overwhelming, I believe my father and I went for about 10:00 and maybe waited 10 minutes. You can either take the photo yourself or there’s usually someone there with Elvis or something.

Go early to avoid the heat and the crowds. We bought a one day pass on the bus ($8) and got there by 8am. There was an unofficial photographer there who takes pics for you with your phone. Gave us good ideas for the best places to stand - worth a $5 tip

An absolute must when visiting Vegas for the first time! Usually a long line, but if you’re not too concerned about taking picture directly under sign, you can quickly snap a few shots and selfies from off to the side without bothering anyone.

Parking lot is small, but has open spaces due to the quick rotation of people. Also…parking is free which is a huge bonus in Vegas.

If you’re gonna get married in Vegas you may aswell do it here! Married by The Little Church of the West, as people who were not bothered about a traditional wedding, it was perfect. And at least you get a free audience with the queue of people lining up for their photos taken!

Utilise the Deuce Bus to get there. There is a stop either side so get off the bus, take your photo, cross the road, get on the next bus back to the strip.
Don’t queue with the other sheep, walk down the side and get a nice angle shot with a clear blue sky backdrop.

We were in LV the third weekend of August so it was 100 degrees when we started at Harrahs and did an all-day death march of +26K steps through one casino after another to arrive at the sign around sunset. I think it took around 45 minutes for us to get to the front of the line for pics. By then, what’s another 45 minutes, right?! We were sweaty and sunburned but we’re in our mid-60s so we were pretty proud of ourselves! Quest completed! We called Uber from the Harley dealership and enjoyed our ride back to civilization!

We’ve been to Vegas several times but somehow never fitted in a visit to the iconic sign.
This time after enjoying an early morning breakfast at Dennys on the strip we decided to visit. It was about a two mile walk which we found really enjoyable passing lots of famous sites at the end of the strip nearest to the airport. On arrival, at about 0830hrs, there was an orderly queue and it took about 15 minutes to get to the head of it. We took pictures for the family ahead of us and the family behind did likewise for use. Great memories and recommended.
