We went on the power plant tour and it was great! It is awesome to see American history and infrastructure! We walked across the dam and went through the museum! Overall, it was great and worth seeing!!!

Having previously worked on the Forth Rail Bridge in Scotland I totally appreciated the engineering and design of the dam. It was difinately worth while visiting.

Rental car or Uber is also fine to reach here. Parking lots available and it is worth to take the tour with going Lower side of the dam

Arrive between 9 to 11 AM. There is a security check point because there are 4 government agencies governing the Hoover Dam. Multiple signs along the way that direct you. Free parking is available. View is of the Hoover... More

The lake you view from the dam is Lake Mead. Free parking on the Arizona side is for those that want to walk across the dam. It can fill in summer months and week-ends/holidays. More free parking is on the Nevada side for... More
