The Historic Railroad Trail is interesting due to the Railroad tunnels you can walk through. The trail is well-maintained and accessible to various ability levels. There are also benches located at specific scenic points.

Great hike, or bike ride from just outside Lake Meade Recreational Area to Hover Dam. Quite, scenic with three old railroad tunnels that tie how the dam was originally transformed and built back in the 1930's.

We took this hike yesterday. Temperature was 100 degrees. The walk itself to & through the tunnels is an easy walk. A little uphill in the beginning. If you chose to walk to Hoover Dam there is a little bit of a downhill & uphill...More

This is one of those hidden gems around Las Vegas. Walking the trail and going through the tunnels was an adventure I will not soon forget.

A nice long walk on your way to Lake Mead that has some beautiful scenery and awesome views of the Lake from a higher elevation. Bring comfortable clothing and durable shoes. This isn't a tough or extremely long walking path, but one that you'll want...More

No it’s free. There is a small car park at the entrance which is also free. As others have suggested, try to go earlier in the day as gets very hot.

Yes! You can rent bikes at All Mountain Cyclery in Boulder City. I believe that they even provide pick up or drop off at the visitors centre which is close to the start of the trail. Definitely contact them to ask. Have fun!
