I'm not a hiker, but my friends are. So when I visited them last July, hiking was our daily activity. And Cascade Falls is just awesome. Very tiring, not for the faint-hearted ... I was faint-hearted lol ... but anyway, the view is simply worth...More

This is a wonderful hike from above Emerald Bay through the campsite to the Cascade trail along cascade lake. It was well worth the hairpin turns to get there, then park by the campgrounds. The hike is an easy/moderate hike along a cliff with climbing...More

This trail is scenic but you may get lost if you go away from the cascade lake. Stay close to the lake and go around the lake to see the Cascade falls. End of August water is very less but you can still see a...More

We parked at inspirtation point for free but I believe you might be able to park at the trailhead in bayview campground for free as well. The trail begins at the bayview trailhead (end of bayview campground) and there are signs that say cascade falls...More

We really enjoyed our hike to Cascade Falls! Trail was east to find and we just parked across the street at Inspiration Point. The hike I would say is easy/moderate. It took us about 45 mins there and back and we took a lot of...More

Wow wow and wow. Just did this hike with my family today and we all had a blast. There are times when you have to scramble over rocks and pick your own path, but we all had fun and finished with minor difficulty or stumbles....More

Yea the view is amazing. The climb was rough at times and scary. The rocks were slippery at some points and with no signs we didn’t know exactly where to go. Lucky we followed others going in the same direction but when we got to...More

We found this hike to be harder than just easy. But it could have been that we hiked all day and this was our last stop. We thought the trail was not clearly marked once we got on the large granite rocks. Several people had...More

Get there early! The trailhead is located at the back of the Bayview Trailhead entrance. Go all the way in for parking. Unbelievable views of Lake Tahoe Cascade Lake, and Cascade Falls! Nice 3-4 mile round trip hike. Not too difficult for most of it....More

I thoroughly enjoyed this short hike. The sound of the falls roaring as you approached is awesome. It could be dangerous for small children so keep them very close by.

I saw leashed and, if I remember correctly, unleashed dogs on the trail doing fine. However, I'm not sure if they were technically allowed on the trail, so I would double check that before bringing your pup :)
