I would imagine this place gets really busy in the summertime, but we went in March, and there were not many folks there. The short hike is worth taking, beautiful views, crystal-clear waters, definitely worth it.

Our friends decided to get married at Sand Harbor. The setting is gorgeous. We were so lucky to have a warm sunny day in February for the wedding. There were not many people and it was just perfect.

But if you walk a while you can escape to some areas free of people and the views are magnificent. Really worth the effort.

Gorgeous- kayak around the lake with giant boulders and a large shallow beach. Great facilities with bathroom, restaurant, bar, parking. $10 for a day at this spot is a deal!

When we were there in July, it was often calm in the morning, and if it got choppy, it was in the afternoon, usually after 1pm. I had heard that this is normal pattern.
