We visited the center while meeting family in Elko. The center is new since the last time we were in town. We did not plan enough time to fully absorb all the center has to offer. We look forward to returning, in the near future.

There are a couple of informative signs outside the main gate, but we were very disappointed the Center is closed two days a week.

People complain about driving I-80 through Nevada. A visit to this museum will put it in a whole new perspective as you gain insight into what it was like for settlers to traverse this terrain on foot. Definitely worth a visit. The museum is well...More

This was an awesome spot to stop on our way to Elko. Very engaging dioramas and hands on materials to explore. Unfortunately one of the big features was out of service, but would definitely recommend- worth the stop and admission is free!
