Have voted twice in the last three years. Excellent design and exhibits. Recommend for all ages. If one has any interest in the westward movement, it would a shame to pass this wonderful exhibit by - and it is free.

Really cool experience just off i-80 about 8 miles west of Elko. It is a newer facility that is very nicely done and admission is free. My wife and I both agree it would be great for kids because of all the interactive activities inside....More

There was a decision at South Pass Wyoming-- turn right and head to Oregon Country or turn left and head to California, where there was gold! The California trail meandered across the desolate Great Basin where there was an absence of water and forage for...More

This Interpretive Center offers superb exhibits of the local history. In particular, we learned a great deal about the Donner party and the harsh environmental conditions that they endured. Volunteer Chuck was a great source of information and we enjoyed a hot cup of tea...More

We almost drove right by the exit after seeing a small sign telling us it was located at the next exit. However, we needed to get out and stretch our legs. What a beautiful place to stop. It is a large, five year old visitor...More

Well done museum illustrating the emigrant trail through the gold rush. Good Shoshone and piute exhibits as well. Lots of good maps.

One of the best Emigrant Trail centers I have stopped at. Especially good treatment of Native Americans, and of the tremendously difficult passage. Pulls no punches.
