This was an awesome spot to stop on our way to Elko. Very engaging dioramas and hands on materials to explore. Unfortunately one of the big features was out of service, but would definitely recommend- worth the stop and admission is free!

The museum is a few miles from town but worth every mile. They were having Trail Days when we arrived and it was great to see everybody in costumes doing daily pioneer chores. Wonderful museum and a great staff.

A lovely museum, much more sophisticated than you might think given its location. The exhibits are realistic and interesting. The museum is large enough to be a destination. Do go. You won't regret it.

Have voted twice in the last three years. Excellent design and exhibits. Recommend for all ages. If one has any interest in the westward movement, it would a shame to pass this wonderful exhibit by - and it is free.
