About
Nestled in Nebraska City, Nebraska, Arbor Day Farm encompasses 260 acres of natural beauty and historical significance. This national historic treasure is home to Lied Lodge, the one-of-a-kind Tree Adventure, the Apple House Market, and Arbor Lodge State Historical Park. But perhaps most importantly, Arbor Day Farm is where the Arbor Day Foundation’s simple mission — to inspire people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees — comes to life. Your visit helps further this mission by supporting the good work of the Arbor Day Foundation around the world.

Tree adventure is awesome! We loved it! Fun stations scattered throughout the park. I think it would be good for a variety of ages, we took a 6 yr old. Trampoline in the trees was fun! Trees are bare but I bet it would be beautiful in other seasons! We plan to come back again! Looks like there are many other activities at the farm that we didn’t have time for. Could easily spend a couple of days here. Stay overnight at the Lied Lodge!

While I was appreciative the Porter's BBQ restaurant was open for a late lunch on a Wednesday, it was truly a disappointing restaurant. The sliced chicken meat platter was minimal and not something I would write home about in terms of barbecue. It came with a slice of white bread and three spicy pickled green beans. The salad was alright, but not very special, with the main topping being dried cranberries. Cups of water - not available, but bottled water for $4 was.

The Tree Adventure was neat enough, but medium in terms of cool factor and things to actually do. The kids (elementary/middle school age) enjoyed the zipline in the playground area, and they certainly enjoyed the treehouse/rope walkways, but it was more of just that - a big treehouse with bridges. I had mistakenly thought that for it might be a ropes course with varying levels of difficulty and supervised challenges. To be fair, the web rope part was down for maintenance when we visited.

Parents are required to pay. It was $50 for me and three children.

I was visiting my son in Omaha, and he took me to enjoy the day at the farm. We enjoyed all the trails and the wine tasting. The wines were surprisingly delicious. We chose the peach wine to take home. Everyone there was so kind and helpful. We took a rest and ate some appetizers at the Timbers in the Lied Lodge. I had the hummus and a glass of wine. We sat on the porch where we enjoyed the very peaceful scenic view of the landscape. The farm was not crowded, so we enjoyed a relaxing beautiful day. It was well worth the trip.

Treehouses we’re excellent fun (kids 3 & 5), two year old needed to be carried on much of the bridges but enjoyed the view. Apple cider slushies we’re great with the heat! Loved the other kid friendly activities at the different spots and the tire swing and tree swings are excellent!

I have no idea what this place is like when it's crowded. But we went on a Sunday, late morning, when it was about 44 degrees out. There was no one else there and we had the best time! There is so much to do for littles, but even the big kids and adults had fun. I think it's a really immersive experience and you could easily spend the day here, if not a couple of hours. Definitely worth the price. The gift shop is too expensive. But all the staff were very friendly and helpful and the facilities were very clean.

We had so much fun at the Tree Adventure at Arbor Day Farm. We went on a Tuesday morning but it was a little crazy with some school groups there. The student were being very unsafe (not following rules and several had sticks while running around in the treehouses and bridges) plus many of the adults were not supervising the kids at all (just standing around talking). So we talked to the people at the desk and asked if there was a better time to come and they said after 1:15 the school groups would be gone. We went ahead and left the tree adventure and went to pick apples and then went to lunch at the Keeping Room (porters was unexpectedly closed, which ended up being for the best). We went back to the tree adventure at 1:30 and had an amazing time, we practically had the place to ourselves! My girls loved the zip cruise, treetop village, and the hiking trail. We would definitely go back but would be careful about school groups being there.

We had been looking forward to eating at Porter’s while staying at Lied Lodge but, unfortunately, we were disappointed. The food was nothing special, bbq sauce was very heavy on the tomato flavor. One day they didn’t even open though the website and online said they were open on Tuesdays. Very frustrating since we had planned on eating there after doing the tree adventure. We would not eat there again.

Geared more for kids and families with younger children. Beautiful grounds and buildings. Ate at the BBQ stand and was not impressed. The sauce wasn't very good and the potato salad had zero flavor. Don't recommend the food but the Tree Adventure would be fun for kids.

Nice place, great wine and cider. BBQ was great. Looks like the kids were loving the rest of the place, but I’m old and tired.

Nice set up but speedy (no charge to park or get in). Did the pick your own but most were on the ground. Think they were buggy or had worms so people tossed them. Had some some food truck and picnic tables but lines long. Nice gift shop with lots of choices. They have a brand new building going up but not finished till 2022.....crowds but much better since splitting into 3 weekends. Bees were everywhere but not aggressive and no one got stung. Surprised by 90 degree day.
