Having read other Tripadvisor reviews, we decided to visit this place. After the State Capitol, we visited this at 2 pm on a Saturday, only to find it closed for the day. We were disappointed, as it looked quite nice. Funnily, there were no timing...More

Right across the street from the capital, the mansion is well maintained. Behind a high fence and guarded, as it should be, the mansion is beautiful to look at.

Quite interesting, beautiful home, stumbled upon it by chance, glad we stopped. It was a good activity for a cold rainy day.

You can't go in (obviously) but this is a fun part of touring the state capitol building (which is also very impressive).

We were given a tour of the Mansion by a very knowledgeable guide. Our guide enjoyed her job and made the tour fun. If you have the time and tours are available, it is worth seeing.
