We really enjoyed the Stuhr Museum. All the exhibits were great! We enjoyed walking around at Railroad Town. The Silver Dollar Cafe was a great place to enjoy a cold soda after enjoying all the buildings.

This is a wonderful place to learn about life on the prairie...something that sadly many children will never get to learn about. From interactive docents in the old prairie town to an old Union Pacific engine, passenger car and caboose, it's a great place to...More

This museum exceeded our expectations. We were on a two-family vacation which included 4 children (ages 15, 11,11, and 8). Everyone adult and child alike enjoyed the museum. It was super hot the day we were there so we did not spend as much time...More

An outstanding museum where you can immerse yourself in 19th century life. Plan to spend most of a day here. Very helpful staff and lots of things for kids to see and explore.

Most exhibits do not open until 10am. We walked around and looked at the train and Indian earth house. At 10 we headed over to the railway town. The tinsmith and woodworker interpreters were excellent. They took the time to show the kids a lot...More

Published material says they open at nine, however most of the Museum does not open until ten. Tractor and car area had people available to show and explain. We enjoyed this area. Railroad Village was horrible. Very few things open. Only people in Village were...More

I felt as if we could’ve walked around for days! There were so many exhibits (earth lodge, historic communities, and an old train!) that it would’ve taken us several hours to leisurely explore our surroundings. It’s very peaceful but also great for inquisitive kids.

I’ve been a few times and it’s always a blast. The staff is amazing and I love the old history behind all the buildings! My all-time favorite museum!! Love this place ❤️

We made the 90-mike trek from Lincoln and that time could not have been better spent. The actual museum building was simple but well done and quite informative. The expansive grounds are well-maintained on an ideal piece of property. Railroad town was much more than...More

It depends. This Museum consists of several parts. So if you want to see it all, I would definitely plan to be there from open to close. They're open from 9-5 Monday through Saturday. Outbuildings open a bit later, but you... More
