Great conservational and educational experience
Sep 2021
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit last here. I'm a big fan of conservation and while I love seeing animals in their natural habitat in the wild, I love places like this that are alternatives for the animals. It helps them live a happy, healthy life instead of having to be euthanized. And it's very obvious the staff really care about these animals. We got to see Spirit, Grant & Coram. The otters were super playful when we were there. And I found the trash can display of what bears can do to the different types was very informative and quite surprising. I'm from middle Tennessee so we don't have to think about things like that. I have a tall trashcan so racoons don't get in lol. Definitely a must see when in west yellowstone.

A definitely must go to place

A great place to see Grizzly Bears and Wolves up close. Sure you can see bears and wolves in the park but it will more than likely be at a distance. Here you can see bears and wolves searching for the food placed by the handlers. Its a great place for kids and adults alike. We bought a season pass after our first visit.

See Grizzlies & Wolves up close!
Aug 2021
This is a great place to see some grizzlies & wolves up close, and to learn some education things about both animals. They also had birds, including bald eagles and a video to watch about bears and wildlife. We stayed about 1 hour and I would recommend it at any age.

Great place to see Bears, Wolves & Otters up close
Aug 2021
We saw all of these in the parks but not up close so it was nice to enjoy seeing them and listening to the wolf packs howl at each other.

My favorite part of the whole trip

I am so glad we decided to stop in. We didn’t know there would be live animals there. You are very close to the enclosure and they give talks about the animals and how they ended up being rescued. I wanted to see wolves in Yellowstone and this is the best way to guarantee you will see them. This is not a zoo. It’s more a sanctuary.

Great way to see predators up close and safely
Aug 2021
The Discovery Center was a highlight of our trip. Since most people will not (and should not) see a wolf or bear up-close inside the park (LOL), this is a great way to see these incredible animals with your own eyes. The stories of their rescues are heart-warming, and the staff is super-knowledgeable and patient with questions.

The best part was when they stocked a "stream" with live fish and then let a family of wolves hunt them while we watched. Incredible.

A great opportunity to see grizzly bears in a realistic habitat.
Aug 2021
Since I did not see any grizzly bears in Yellowstone, I went to the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center to see them. I saw three different bears in the habitat area. It was very interesting watching them hunt for the food that was hidden for them and see them splashing in the water. The wolves were more hidden in their area. The otters were enjoyable to watch swimming and diving. I would highly recommend this to families with children and anyone who has not seen these animals in the wild. There was a lot of good information, exhibits, and kids actvities.
