We didn't really stop in Virginia City just to shop and was quite rainy. But up to Boot Hill we did go!!! Seeing the road agents graves was interesting but the most fun was finding the graves of three mice who had done wrong. Also...More

Just above the main street, you can visit this cool place with a view and see the graves of 5 road agents who were hung in the 1860's.

This Boot Hill is interesting to walk around and the town cemetery is up there too. What makes it worth the trip is the view. It won't take much time, so take the drive and your camera, you will be glad you did.

Might be a little hooky...but cute little set of "tombstones" in front of the real ones, all for the mice buried there.

Short drive up the hill. Basically four markers of bad dudes hung by the Vigalants in 1860ish. Good story but poorly maintained.

The view of Virginia City from Boot Hill is fantastic. The graves site markers are recreations but reportedly in the correct locations. Worth visiting if in Virginia City as it is a very short distance.
