The first 1/2-3/4 mile of this trail is steep, so if your're a flatlander, you might have problems because of the excertion required and the elevation. But after that initial steep climb the trail is not terribly hard and Lower Basin Lake is a gem....More
As I mentioned on another review, when you leave in bright sunny not a cloud in the sky day, expect that it might rain in the mountain area. Bring rain gear.
