Dickerson Park Zoo is one of Springfield's most popular parks and family destinations. It's pretty awesome that a town the size of Springfield even has a zoo, much less one recognized and accredited for more than 30 years by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums....More
First let me note that we are use to going to the St Louis Zoo which is impossible to beat. Springfield was fun but most of the habitats were very small. It was such a maze getting to all the animals. We actually had to...More
I love zoos. Been to many different ones and Springfield has one to be proud of. They are always looking to improve and they have a great variety of animals to view. The giraffe exhibit is truly exceptional.

Had a great time at the zoo. We were able to feed the barn animals and giraffes. Animals are spread out. Only took about 2 hours to do the whole zoo. The train is at the very end but we didn’t go on it.
