The waitress where we had breakfast suggested this place. Took and Uber to get there. The driver and the waitress and the owner of the barshop told us in no uncertain terms to be very careful. We were and enjoyed walking around all the shops.

Made plans to spend all morning there and have lunch. Got there about 10:15 am. Most stores said they opened at 10 or 10;30. NOTHING WAS OPEN!!!! A coffee cafe was, but the antique stores that had open signs in the window and 10am open...More

Enjoyed an afternoon stroll and didn't even mind the shops weren't open. Just loved reading the historical plates and watching the architecture change. Especially enjoyed having an elephant ear at the first Hispanic bakery in St. Louis celebrating 20 year next May.

perhaps at one time this was it. not now. do not waste your time coming to the city there is nothing here anymore. very disappointed. was going to work our whole trip around the 100's of shops but they are boarded up and in neglectville.
