Being from Africa zoos are very low down on my list of impressive places to visit. While I found the Washington zoo to have a significant wider selection of exhibits, the St Louis zoo is probably the most beautiful. It became part of my morning...More

We are from out of town and I made sure we were at the entrance by 8 am. First, we were able to park for free on the street right in front of the entrance (typically $15 in the parking lot). Once inside we found...More

We stopped in while in town and really enjoyed the zoo. We went at 3pm and didn't realize that many animals start getting brought indoors at 4:30 since zoo closed at 5 so we missed out on a few animals the kids wanted to see....More

I have been visiting this zoo for over 50 years. No longer live in St. Louis, but I visit the city almost every year. 5 mandatory stops: Busch Stadium, Imo’s pizza, the Hill, art museum and the zoo. First of all, it is free. Secondly,...More

Disappointed zoo layout is so confusing. Not many animals to see unless you add in snakes, lizards and turtles. No polar bears, lions etc were all laying under cover barely visible. Admission is free but parking is $15 and train around park $10 each. I...More

This was a very nice zoo! The only fee is $15 for parking. It is much smaller than other zoos. You definitely can visit all animals and attractions in less than a full day. The park is clean, beautiful and animals appear well cared for.

Great zoo with lots of unique animals on display. Bring your walking shoes The penguin exhibit was our favorite. Free to get in but we paid $15 to park (Didn't know about the free lot right down the road).

This is a free zoo and that is the main reason why I went. It was also easy to get to using public transportation. However, the animals that were out in ther enclosures were not very interactive. I know it was a warm sunny summer...More

Neither of us had been to the STL zoo for 20+ years and really enjoyed our visit today. Free to visit the zoo and car parking was $15, well worth it. Wonderful gorilla, chimp and orangutan exhibits as well as the sea lions. The big...More
