Visited shortly after the start of this year's salmon run. Patience is required, but it will be worth it. Watching such an incredible natural phenomenon - watching large salmon try fruitlessly to jump up the rapids is enthralling. An absolute must see if in the...More

The very friendly owner of the Osprey Falls cafe (clearwater lake) at the end of the road into wells gray park recommended we went to see the salmon jumping at bailey's chute, and the green mountain viewpoint for its spectacular views on our way out....More

When driving through Wells Gray Park, our tour bus stopped in mid-September to see a salmon run at Bailey’s Chute. TV depiction of salmon runs doesn’t hold a candle to the real thing. We saw HUGE salmon on their spawning migration in the shallowest waters,...More

A well marked path leads to the falls and there is a good viewing platform to see the water boiling over the rocks. There are also excellent information boards describing the formation of the falls

This was such a great experience to see the salmon struggle getting up the chutes. We just couldn't stop watching them.

It's a must see while visiting Well's Gray Park. Ample parking and a short hike along the river trail brings you out onto a platform over looking Bailey's Chute. It's a boiling mass of raging water. It is unbelievable that the salmon are capable of...More

Raging water....would be so cool to be here in the September, when the bears come to catch fish that are spawning! Water was raging, at this point! Next to the road...easy access. Parking was available across the street. Hiking trails wandered next to the river,...More
