Branson, Missouri is a tourist town and like any tourist town, there is no shortage of places in the city to get a taste of booze, local and otherwise. I try to go for the local when I travel, and my thirst for Missouri- made libations led me to Crown Valley Distillery.
I have visited many breweries and distilleries in my day, in large part because I operate a national known beer blog, Great Beer Now. I have been to countless breweries that also have distilleries, but Crown Valley is one of the few places I have visited that sells its own booze, beer, cider, and wine! You don’t normally find places with variety like that and this fact alone was enough to convince me to pay a visit.
Walking into Crown Valley Distillery, you will notice right away that this is a place designed for tasting. The tasting bar grabs your attention immediately and the surrounding space is well- lit and includes a gift shop. I went straight for the tasting bar when I visited, as I was anxious to try some drinks and see what this establishment had to offer.
There are several different options for tasting at Crown Valley, but my recommendation is to go with the option that includes two wines, two spirits, and two beers. This is a great way to sample a little of everything and the cost is low. The beers include beers and ciders so you can mix and match whatever way you like. I really enjoyed the craft beer and crafted spirits. I tasted moonshine, wine, and beer quite unlike any I had tried previously. Since I’m primarily a beer person, I took an instant liking to Gunslinger Double IPA and I also really enjoyed the Blackberry Cider. The liquor was memorable, too.
Service at Crown Valley Distillery is very good and I like that the person serving the drinks had a strong knowledge of craft beer, wine, and spirits. There are other places in the Branson, Missouri area that serve adult beverages, but Crown valley Distillery is one of the area’s best and it’s a place you need to add to your visitation list of you want to get a true taste of Missouri adult beverages and what the state offers.

We stopped by on a Sunday just because we drove by! Nice tasting on wines, spirits and beers...I did free tasting...My hubby paid $10. The guy behind the counter, never got his name, with dark hair and moustache...he knows who he is, was a real asset and made the tasting a pleasure. He was informative and entertaining. We left there with $100+ less in our wallet, but an excellent selection of blackberry cider, cinnamon whiskey and dry wines. You can purchase a maximum of 2 $7 specialty drinks per person per day. Highly recommend the blackberry on blackberry and the horseradish bloody Mary with bison jalapeno meat stick in it. You just have to experience it to believe how good it is!

My husband and I came here with my 74-year old parents. We enjoyed a free tasting with a very friendly employee. Had a choice of four spirits, wines, ciders, and ales. Lots to choose from! This was our second time to stop by and we always find something new and delicious to buy!

Didn't know what to expect but this had to be one of our favorite stops during our stay! The choices of the wines and beers were amazing. The young man that helped us was so knowledgeable and helpful that it made it so much more fun. When we got back this will be one place we go to for sure!

While staying in Branson on a couples vacation, we stopped in to try some local Whiskey. We found a great way to spend a rainy afternoon. Many tasting options from free, to mixed flights of Whisky, Beer, and Wine. We walked out purchasing some of all. Great time and great staff which made our time fun.

In today’s environment, everyone thinks they can make wine and distill the spirits. Outside being free, I did not find anything of the quality I would buy and drink.

Didn't start out on a good note when we pulled up and a car was pulled up to the building (not a parking spot) in a way that the front end of their car was in the handicap parking - which we needed. When we left the cars owner (employee of the place) was packing it up with alcohol to take somewhere else!! I'm sorry but if they are loading something they should have a back door for this or at the very least not park interfering with the handicapped parking!!
We did the tasting which we did find a couple we liked and did purchase - only bad thing about our experience during it was the "host" was on the phone during 1/2 the time. They did apologize after they finally got off the phone and said they'd been waiting on the call for days - and I get that, I really do, we can't always get calls at a good time - but couldn't they have asked someone else to take their place?!!
As we were leaving is when we realized it was someone from the store that was pulled up to the facility like that - making it impossible to psrk in the handicap spot and get out of the car....
Again, it is a biased opinion and maybe too harsh a rating as I was definitely not impressed from the moment my disabled husband had to walk farther in the rain due to someone that should have known better.

Dropped into Crown Valley Distillery while we were in Branson to have a free snort. Ended up leaving with a bottle of the cinnamon whisky.

Great tasting room. Not your normal tasting room. Could pay to have larger tastes - well worth it. We will be back.
