Great Way to Spend the Day
Took my four children ranging from 2 years to 17 years. Every person had a blast! The week after Christmas was perfect....Perfect weather, still decorated for Christmas and showing Christmas shows & singers, and although crowded, not unmanageable. Security was visibly present, and it was just an all around pleasurable experience.

UNIQUE THEME PARK IN THE OZARKS
My wife and I had been to Silver Dollar City many years ago with my parents and we decided to pay it a visit recently. Getting into the parking lot can be a little frustrating as there is only one way into the the entry gates. A plus is that those with a handicapped placard/plate can park for free. Some negatives are that there is limited handicapped parking capacity and the parking lot is on a hillside. So, if you can't figure out where the shuttles pick up (which we couldn't) then you have to walk uphill to the park entrance. Additional negatives are the parking rows are not numbered/labeled and there is minimal to no signage to tell you where things like the handicapped parking or shuttle pickup areas are. Once you get near the entrance of the park, you need to evaluate you and the members of your party's level of mobility as the entire park is on a hillside with lots of inclines/declines and stairs to negotiate. (They have a place where you can rent electric scooters just before the entrance.) The park itself is unique with numerous rides, shops, and eating venues throughout the park. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. We intentionally visited during their bluegrass and BBQ festival so there were some great bluegrass acts to catch during our visit. If you do your research in advance, I am sure you'll like this place and enjoy your visit.

Silver Dollar City is the BEST Theme Park Ever!
My family and I purchase season passes to Silver Dollar City every year, and it is so worth it! The staff is amazing and funny, the park is very clean, there is great food, the overall theme of the park is incredible, and the rides are the main reason that we go! The rides here are so incredible, they have the perfect rides for thrill seekers, or people that just want to feel the wind in their face. My family and I agree that Silver Dollar City is the best theme park that we have ever gone to!

    BEST PARK EVER!
I absolutely love this park! I’ve gone here since I was little and I have always loved it! I love the theming of the whole park and the rides. There are rides for all ages! There are so many rides that children can enjoy! There are designated areas for children as well with so many fun attractions for them! There are splash pads and water rides to keep everyone in the family cool on a hot Summer day! Kids that do not like thrill rides but are too big for the childish rides have many options as well! Adults and teenagers that love the thrill have several roller coasters and thrill rides to choose from. The food at the park is amazing! The scenery of the park is so beautiful! The views that you get on some of the rides are amazing! Silver Dollar City is a must-do for every family! There is not a single time that I go there and don’t have fun! Bring a friend! There are also some pretty cool shows that older people can watch or anyone at all can watch! I personally go to Silver Dollar city for the rides, the food, and a good time! The workers are very kind and they make the theme seem so much more real! If you like to post on Instagram, this park has so many amazing sites to see and post! Spread the news of this amazing park because it is my all time favorite!

3rd time to this awesome place!
We’ve been here as a family two times before today and absolutely loved it just as much as the first two times! Great rides and scenery. And the show at the amphitheater was VERY entertaining from tight rope walking over the crowd to America’s Got Talent dog trainer, contortionist and acrobat. Very impressive! We will be back to see the caves which we’ve never had time to see due to all the other activities at the park.

    An American Classic
All-around great experience. Rides were all operational. Park was clean and well-maintained. All staff were pleasant, welcoming and helpful. Appreciate the trans from the free parking lots. Wish we'd had more time to enjoy shows, but only had about 5 hours from r our visit, so we will see more shows next time. If you plan to ride American Plunge or Mystic Falls, be prepared....YOU WILL GET SOAKING WET...lol. We had a fabulous time and look forward to returning to more fully experience Silver Dollar City

Newer isn’t better when you’re older
I am almost 57. I first went to SDC when I was a kid. The rides were simple, and fun. The entertainment was simple, good old fashioned, clean fun. There was bluegrass music everywhere in the park. They remembered their roots in this part of the country, and that’s what made the place special. I continued to come here from then , until now. Today, one of the first things I was excited to do, was go to the Saloon show. Sadly, it was basically a broadway performance. The old timey show is gone. The next thing I noticed, was the music. There was no old time mountain music anywhere. Many of the small craftsmen, and woman, are gone. Big money, and the desire to compete with a world of roller coaster theme parks, has clouded almost everything that was special about this place. If you want to go to an amusement park, more or less, like all the rest, this is the place. The rides are as good as any, and there is a lot for smaller children. Less than about 3 years old, is probably not going to be that great, as they kinda need to be able to get around and play without assistance. There is good food in the park, and plenty of places to sit. There are several shops that have closed, which comes as no surprise, if rides and coasters is the main attraction. Young people will really enjoy this place, but for those of us that are past that stage, it’s not so fun anymore.

    Another great visit!
My wife and I came up for Law Enforcement Appreciation week, I got free entry with my department ID. We always enjoy SDC! We’re usually season pass holders, just didn’t this year. However with it being Fire In the Hole’s last season we had to go! I rode Mystic River for the first time, which replaced Lost River of the Ozarks.. WOW!! It’s soooo much better that lost river! It’s intense and a wonderful way to get soaked and cool down on a hot day! My only complaint is our conductor on the train was… less than enthusiastic about his job, plus he was just following the script, no enthusiasm! Alphie and Ralphie were AMAZING!! They made us laugh and preformed GREAT!! Park is always clean and well maintained! I’m glad they won the best park in America!

Educational and fun! Perfect for our homeschooling family. I love that they have church service and hymn singing. Enjoyed the glass blowing. Clean, wonderful employees, lots to do. Even if you are not a ride person, there is plenty to do.

We decided to visit Silver Dollar City twice during our stay in Branson. We had a great time both days. The park was clean and the rides were fun and thrilling for our teens. We frequent amusement parks and have to say the food is pretty good at this park. We loved the sausage skillet. It was fresh made and tasty. There were lots of options for food throughout the park. The ride wait times weren’t bad except for the new Fire in the Hole which was 90 minutes. We had heard this ride was opening on Saturday and were super excited to see it opened early and we were able to experience it before we left. Another thing that really stood out was the employees. They seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs. We were always greeted with smiles and everyone was pleasant. If we lived much closer we would surely have season passes to this park!

Really fun amusement park. We’re from Southern California and SDC reminded us a lot of what Knott’s Berry Farm used to be like… “old country” theme, lots of variety in attractions and activities. We did a two day pass, which worked out great. Definitely too much to do in one day. Roller coasters were really good, lots of shops and craft/artisan demos, and lots of shows, all very entertaining.

I wanted to make a post for those that are considering going to silver dollar city and wondering what size seats most of the "high thrill" silver dollar city roller coasters are.

I believe at some point I read online most rides at silver dollar city fit people who weigh 215 or less. I also saw a post online about a guy who said he weighed 300 and said he fit in almost all of them.

Today I went to silver dollar city with my husband (he fit in 100% of all of the rides). I however, had more trouble than he did. I'm 5ft 9" and weigh 299. There were only 3 roller coasters I was able to fit in: the New Fire in the hole, Wild Fire & Thunderation.

Each roller coaster does have a tester seat at the begining of each ride to see if you'll fit before waiting in line.

Just wanted to help get the information out there so people can determine if Silver Dollar City is worth the bang for your buck if you are going for the sole purpose of enjoying the rides.

15 years ago was the last time I was at the park prior to today, and even then, I barely squeezed into the rides (and that was about 50 pounds ago). Silver Dollar city is a favorite place of mine but I think I'll work on hitting the gym a little harder before my next trip back there.

We took our granddaughter who is 9 and she had a great time, but when we go by ourselves it is the shows and food that we take in. We are pass holders and go often.

We had a good time, but there were many rides that were temporarily shut down throughout the day. The first ride we got in line for we had to leave because it was shut down. So, we went to the new Fire in the Hole. It was only 20 min after they opened and it was already shut down. We never got to ride it because after that it was a 90 min wait. Another roller coaster my husband and son had to leave the line because it was shut down. This was very frustrating! I don't know if this is typical or because they had recently opened for the season. Perhaps tickets in the beginning of the season should be discounted while they work out the kinks. The cave tour was excellent though! The cave was beautiful and our guide Brian was excellent! Definitely recommend!!! I was impressed with how clean the park is and they have some unique roller coasters. We might have to give the park another try a different time of year.

Myself, my husband, and our 2 kids (10 & 12), had a great time here! There were enough wild rides to satisfy my son, and enough tame rides to satisfy my daughter. We went over spring break, so it was very busy, but we still managed to have a great time! I love how the entire park is themed. It’s so well done! Good times for all!

SDC continues to do things with excellence, and it shows in the rides, the food, the festivals, and through their staff. It's definitely an investment to go, especially with a family, but this should be at the top of your Branson planning list!

You MUST see Marble Cave while you are there! Vivian was a fantastic guide - she has great timing of some jokes as well, but really knows this cave very well.
The rest of the amusement park was fun - my wife doesn’t usually do rides, but we went on the “fire in the hole” indoor roller coaster twice together! The train ride was kind of disappointing, so you can skip, that one. I rode the Powder Keg Coaster, and it was great fun!
Watching the 2 glass blowers was a treat as they created a handled pitcher and a handled glass mug while we watched. Working together, they were just so skilled at their craft. Blacksmith was also cool.
Watched the band Dawson Hollow, and they were very good, playing their original music. (I play in 2 bands myself), google them to find their music. Very accessible. They really were very entertaining. Great vocal harmonies, acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, keyboards, violin (and sometimes fiddle, if you understand!)

5/5. Best day of our trip. The property was very clean. Every employee we encountered appeared genuinely happy to be serving us. Evident new safety training had occurred prior to opening. Park had so much to do- we were thrill seekers so barely stepped foot in to any shops or demonstrations. Lines were very reasonable. Longest wait was 30 minutes. We walked right on to the largest thrill coasters with no wait- 4X in a row! Definitely no need for trail blazer. The whole party had a blast and I was very pleased with the service, value of the ticket, and variety offered. We opened and closed the park and absolutely got our $ worth.
