The forest is quite nice with lots of walking trails. We did try to go for the treetop walks but they were full so we ended up just wandering around the forest walks. We did stop by the visitor center and cafe but got told off for taking pictures, which spoiled the mood. Otherwise, it was a nice place to wander.
We came by car so I am unsure how accessible it is for public transportation particularly with the long drive into the forest from the road.

Such a pretty setting but sadly the service was poor and the chef inflexible to any slight menu change. My friend asked for scrambled eggs with the corn fritter instead of fried and was told this could not be done.
The food was quite nice but the menu is limited (no all day breakfast) and seems overpriced. I would go again for coffee and cake but not lunch.

Sack the owner. He and the staff just want to say “ no” to everything. We tried this cafe 5 years ago and were perhaps hoping it had changed hands. “ if you want to eat outside it’s take away…oh, you must wait outside”. Soo many bloody rules! Coffee is rubbish .

Beautiful and tranquil. Took a pleasant walk along Palm Gully Trail. We had looked forward to visiting the Visitor Centre again with its rich information and activities. There was nothing to say that it had closed down. Realising that the entrance was not accessible we thought one entered through the cafe. But once we did this we were confronted by a loud young woman who essentially told us that the Visitor Centre was no more and that we were now on private property. If we had thought of tea and a snack she definitively put us off. How about a closed sign? And it’s a real pity if, as it appears the Visitors Centre has closed down. We were looking forward to taking our grandchildren there again. A sour note on which to end a lovely morning in a place otherwise ostensibly dedicated to public access and education.

Beautiful family facility ! Lovely bush walks.. fresh air, relaxing. Kids play areas and treetop walks. Everything clean, fresh. The nursery is excellent, one of the best in Sydney, prices comparable to Bunnings.
The lovely Cafe just gets better ! Soon, the updated outdoor settings to enjoy a nice coffee and snack.

We had the worst ever experience with the cafe staff and owner, who refused to turn down loud music volume, and refused to serve us tap water using Covid as an excuse (no other cafe or restaurant we know in Sydney has this bizarre restriction) We decided to leave, only to be spoken to rudely on the way out by the waitresses about our little puppy not being allowed in the cafe even though we checked that dogs are allowed in outdoor seating. By the way, this is the second bad experience we had with staff rudeness here, and we made the mistake of giving them the second chance.

It's not quite deep enough to escape the traffic noise but it's a pleasant place with a lot of very large trees. There are a lot of nice paths through the trees but evidently they expect you to drive to the visitor centre and get information because I wandered along them aimlessly wondering where I was - the only info out there is forestry propaganda.

A really great location in the middle of Sydney where the whole family can experience what the bush is all about. Plenty of walking tracks and plenty of animals including birds and bush turkeys abound.
The whole area is well maintained with plenty of picnics areas and open spaces for all to enjoy. There is also a well stocked plant nursery and a very good cafe as well for those who want to drop in for a meal or just a break.
Well worth a visit if in the area.
