We visited here excited to see a beautiful view of Pequot Lakes just to be let down. The tower is fenced off (with barbed wire around the top), and no trespassing signs posted all over it. When we visited, part of the fence was pushed...More

It's a great view in the fall with leaf colors. Be prepared to do some exercise as it's a bit of a climb just to get to the base of the tower.

The hike via the woods to get to the tower is wonderful, deep woods with different grades. Once you arrive at the tower, the mechanics of the tower is built with wood risers so we did not feel safe going too high. Disappointing tower but...More

Easy 10-15 minute hike from the parking lot to the tower. The hike is shaded with big trees. The firetower was open and you were able to get near the very top. The platform hatch to the observation deck was locked. Besides the graffiti, it...More

The Fire Tower, when open to the public, allows amazing views of the Pequot and Breezy Point area. There is a parking lot and a well worn path leading up to the tower. Wear proper shoes (NOT sandals/flip flops) for the hike up as it...More

A wonderful hiking experience up in the North Country, Minnesota. The original Fire Tower in Pequot Lakes is open to the public to climb up and see one of the most incredible views ever. It is a beautiful outing to take especially at sunrise or...More
