We went to this park specifically to find the larger falls, that I saw in pictures. There weren’t any trail maps available. We went on a hike in the woods, but couldn’t find them. We also drink from the spring, but I wouldn’t recommend it. It smells and taste awful. We were going to go back the next day and take another trail. After we left the park, I talked to someone that said, there is only a fall for a couple of weeks in the spring. So don’t waste your time.

Fun park with walking trails, bridges, unique playground equipment, horseshoe pits and restroom facilities. Plenty of shade if needed with some picnic tables and benches.

As part of my 2019 Local Summer Bucket List, I wanted to visit this park. There is an awesome playground any kid would love. There is a great horseshoe court. There was a sandy volleyball court. There were several covered shelters, and LOTS of benches around. Bridges are in view from any point. The river runs through the whole park and there is a neat spot to walk across - even kids could do it, it's shallow. Paths meander throughout. I would love to come back here and play disc golf, as there are hoops throughout the park. The monuments are interesting to read and view. There is one that has a quote on it about preserving the land and nature, and that our Mother is Mother Nature. It's beautiful and everyone should read it. There is also a statue of Princess Owatonna and some history on the healing waters of the springs. You can even drink the waters. When I was there, there was a children's group in the large shelter, and 2 different groups of people laying in hammocks in the trees. It wasn't crowded or busy, but there were people sprinkled about. It was a lovely day. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to explore their area.

There is never a bad time to visit this park. You can stroll along the Maple Creek, or, for more adventure, climb up into the woods overlooking the park. A man-made waterfall makes a great place for photo ops. The park also features a very popular Frisbee golf course but the golfers are generally very polite.

The park is beautiful lots of trees. I am from Florida so the landscape and low to no humidity was wonderful. The well renowned water tasted just like iron. Which makes sense that it would "heal" travelers of yester year as they lacked the essential vitamin- iron in their bodies. At least I can say I tried it...right... anyway it was a neat place to visit.

Decent park, walking trails through wooded areas, many trees that create beautiful scenery in the fall. Good places to take pictures.

They have great trails here. That's the best part. My kids likes the dam. The playground is a little weird and somewhat dangerous for little kids. The spring water tastes like rust and comes out as a yellow color. We were a little hesitant about drinking it. Overall we had a great time and would definitely stop again.

Perhaps the most natural park in the Owatonna park system, Mineral Springs Park features an old dam,a statue of Princess Owatonna (a local legend), horseshoe pits, a pavilion, walking trails, a 9-hole disc golf course, picnic area, restrooms, and a children's' playground. Of course, there is a spring that empties into the creek where locals often come to fill up their water jugs with pure spring water. The minerals found in the spring water are reputed to have therapeutic benefits.

Maple Creek curves through the park and has carved a sizeable valley in this area of town. Steep cliffs rise up from the east bank, and after a good rain, a few trickling waterfalls will activate on the south side of the park high above the creek.
