About
Minnesota’s One And Only Gull Dam Beer! Gull Dam Brewing Co – named after the historic dam on Gull Lake - is located in the heart of the premier Brainerd Lakes area. The brewery is just one mile south of downtown Nisswa, on highway 371. The Iconic Gull Dam Water Wheel Building: The Gull Dam facility has a huge taproom/brewhouse with ample seating and a 20 foot TV screen to enjoy your favorite sporting event. Fun location with lots of things for the family to do. They have all kinds of board games to play and lots of different types of beer to try. Seeing how it was our first time there, they gave us samples of several of their beer so we could try them before we bought the type that we liked the best. They also have live music in the evening, we left before it started, but that would be fun.

Really fun place with great beer and live music on weekends. There are food trucks every weekend so different food choices each time you go. Great Vibe and neat place to meet up with friends. Even if it rains, you can sit inside and hear the band.

We were in the area and I saw on Trip Advisor that this brewery had great reviews. As we drove in we knew we’d like it just for the ambiance alone! We stopped to smell and look at the beautiful flowers and checked out the front decor and it was so wonderful to relax after being in the truck for a couple hours. In the bar/taproom our grand daughters loved looking at the decor. We asked for recommendations and were told about the Raspberry Wheat. Yep, it is all we were told it would be. It was warm/hot out so we stayed inside and the girls found that throughout the taproom hanging from the ceiling there were several seagulls. That was fun for them to see how many there were. I’m not telling how many you will just have to go yourself to count them. We did not eat anything but we will be back. After we left I posted a couple pics we took on FB and my cousin commented that her dad is the owner here. I’ve never met him but now I’m going to have to go back to do that.

Easy access off the highway, a huge patio and large indoor seating area makes this a must stop for anyone who enjoys beer. The patio was packed and the band was great. While I did not make a food truck purchase, the line moved quickly and the food being served, look tasty. This place seemed to have it all. The large band shell, with band, Food trucks, ample parking, easy access, event center, and a large hedge of hops.

Out if the 4 breweries in the area, this was our least favorite. Beer was good, the food truck outside was good, the outdoor seating and stage area is really nice. It's not a bad place, just our least favorite in comparison.

Was in the area so decided to stop by and try their offerings. It's a large place with a lot of outdoor seating. I found a beer I liked and brought a growler home. They have outdoor games offered as well.

This brewery has the perfect set up for fun! Food truck, games, indoor and outdoor band stage, big screen, hops ladder, and don't forget beer. Everyone in my group found a beer they enjoyed and we all talked about how cool this place was.

We dropped in on a Sunday afternoon, seeking shelter from a [literal] storm, and were happy to find a great space with some really good beer choices. We went for the flight, which is a few ounces of all nine beers (creatively, placed in a muffin tin) for $15. The space is large, with indoor and outdoor seating. Live music on weekends, sports on the big screen, food truck outside, and a great selection of nostalgic board games (we went for Battleship).

Definitely a fun few hours. Drop in for some fun post-lake or get a few growlers for the boat, you won't regret it!
