Skated on Lake of the Isles as a kid and walked and biked it when I was older. It is just over 2.5 miles long. Was over there a couple of years ago just to drive around it on my way to St. Louis Park....More

I grew up near Lake of the Isles and loved walking around it during spring, summer and fall. Winter involved ice skating at the rink!

Terrific location to walk or ride bike, paddle in a boat or paddle board. Easily accessible via The Greenway Bike Trail.

Beautiful with a sneak peak of downtown Minneapolis over the trees. Would recommend a long walk between all the lakes but this one is close to a lot of restaurants and bars in Uptown

This lake is a little bit quieter than Calhoun and Harriet. It is beautiful to walk or run around. There is a fantastic dog park near the lake.

We combined this with a walk around Lake Calhoun to get a few extra miles in. Absolutely worth it. Less crowded of the Lakes . Good to do in every season , Beautiful in the summer and fun to walk across in the frozen tundra...More

Just make sure you got good shoes on. What a beautiful night it was to walk along the lake, The Moon even came out to say Hi to us. We waved to others as they two walked by. A very refreshing walk and evening

This is a lovely lake for a nice walk. It is fairly short and the houses are beautiful. The lake has an unusual shape and it makes it interesting.

This lake has a really wacky perimeter/shape, so it's fun to walk around - your point of view is constantly changing. It's also a little quieter than some of the more popular lakes.

There's free parking around the whole lake. Usually no problem finding a spot and you can start anywhere around the lake.
