Great entertainment to see all about how Hibbing was moved 2 miles to the south of the original town of Hibbing. Lots of great artifacts dating back to early 1890's and early 1900's from the earliest time of Iron Ore Mining underground to open pit...More

This is a very cool museum with great displays all the way around. It will mean more in conjunction with a trip to the mine as well. The two together make for a great understanding of the history and geography of the iron belt.

Down stairs in the Hibbing Memorial Building. Wonderful displays and a knowledgeable curator to answer questions. When I stopped in there were several old timers around to add comments. Worthwhile stop and worthy of a return visit.

This is a great museum with an emphasis on the people who came to the area to work. Great displays :)

Many glassed displays with visual artifacts, news clippings, authentic antique items displayed during the era in which they were used. A large scale model gives visitors a better understanding of the town that moved. Very clean, beautifully displayed, great historical value for everyone.

This was a nice, informative stop as we re-explored the area my husband was born. They also had a celebration on Main Street when we happened by, but not much was happening until much later in the day so we missed most of that.

Friendly and helpful staff walked us around the entire place (one large room) and gave us a detailed oral history of Hibbing.

Very interesting place to visit. Has a model of old Hibbing. The entire town was moved in the 1920's, 1930's and even into the 40's and 50's.

This is a very interesting historical museum in Hibbing. The society has done an excellent job of showing a great many historical items of the city. I felt the best part of the exhibit was the layout of the town as it was before they...More

I was looking for something to do in Hibbing, so I decided to check out the historical society museum. The nice thing was that it was free, however, I didn't even spend 1 hour here. It is really only a few rooms on the history...More
