This beach is great! There's beach area and rocky areas. There were people kayaking, grilling and swimming. Nice relaxing area. We loved it!

The weather was a little cloudy, and the big lake was stirred up a bit from rain, but this park on the north shore is always fun. Sit, relax, enjoy, rock pick, picnic...you will never go wrong here.

We ventured out of Duluth to begin our North Shore journey. This was a nice stop looking back at Duluth.

The Brighton beach is the north to Duluth proper. It's a little hidden gem in Duluth. The Beach is NOT for swimming because it's very rocky and has no sands. I would only recommend visiting this area about 1 hour before dawn or dusk, which...More

This is a great location just north of Duluth you can stop and stretch before heading up the north shore on your adventures. Dogs are allowed on leash and there are parks for kids. Exploring the shore is great here too.

Very nice place for a picnic by the lake. One of the most beautiful parks and beaches in the state! You can see forever here!

The taco truck was good. The art was interesting. If you go, try driving down the Brighton Beach road to park. There's more parking than you think and you don't have to walk as far

Close to Duluth but lots of great beach to throw rocks in the lake. No real beach since the large rocks go out into the water but we always picnic here. Usually we swim in the cold water too,

My wife and I took the short drive from Duluth after supper to view the lake. There was a few people enjoying this picnic spot. We must have seen 15-20 kayakers rowing by. A few of them launched their kayaks from this spot. Also was...More

Lots and lots of choices of hotels in the nearby community of Duluth. I would start by looking here on Trip Advisor. The hotels that are near the Aerial Bridge downtown are more spendy. Try the Radisson, that's my favorite... More
