We may have been lucky but the sea lions were there. We counted 5. Drive down there is a bit rough at times because of the unsealed road. Be careful. But it is worth it.

We saw 14 Sea Lions here and on the next beach west over the short track behind the headland. Take care to check for fresh tracks into the sand dunes as they are often found there.

Well worth the drive off main highway . A twenty minute walk from one end of beach to the other , be amazed by the sea lions , sea leopards and other sea mammals basking in the dunes or scooting down the beach and into...More

Cannible Bay is a bit off the beaten track, in fact thats what you could call the gravel road that takes you to Cannible Bay, but it is well worth the effort to visit. This is the place to go if you want to see...More

A bit of a trek getting to this beach but well worth it. Lots of sea lions lying in groups along the beach. It was great to see everyone keeping a reasonable distance away - maybe it was the very vocal, lunging male sea lion...More

Had friends take us here to see the sea lions, couldn't find any at first but then noticed they were down the other end of the beach, quite a long walk but worth it to see these magnificent animals, only down side is that there...More

This is a great beach with the Hooker Sea lions a plus. When we were there there was a well behaved tour group but also some people in a car getting far too close.

Wow was all I could say once I stepped onto the beach. I liked how there was only us on the beach and when the other visitors came the didn't disturb the sea lions that were lying in the sand. It was pretty overcast but...More

Quite a drive to the site. 2 ways to get there. The drive nearer to nugget point (which we took) was much more nerve wrecking than the flat road. Narrow and high edge for our sedan car. Found the other road when we reached. Worth...More

It's an 8km drive down to the Bay and quite narrow in places but still an OK drive. At the end you can park quite near the beach and walk along it. We only saw one seal the 2 times we visited so were a...More
