So cool. Outrageous really that the Catholic Church built this as a shrine but great that it’s ended up as an observation tower for the city! It the tallest structure around and the views are fabulous. Friendly guy on the ticket desk. Best public restrooms you’ll find anywhere! Buy the three museum ticket and get to visit the Tower, the Museum Ship Valley Camp and the River of History museum and save a few dollars. All are worth visiting.

Gorgeous views of the surrounding areas. I recommend stopping here if you are in the area. You can spend as little or as much time as you like taking in the views from the observation decks. The gentleman working was friendly and helpful.

Great Views from multiple viewing decks. There are stairs and an elevator as well. An amazing gothic-style church is next door, with amazing architecture.

We loved the great views from the top of the Tower of history. There are both indoor and outdoor observation areas. The indoor area includes panoramic maps and descriptions of what you’re looking at. There were also great informational displays about the history of the area. We had taken the Soo Locks boat tour the day before and it was fun to find things we had seen from the water.
Your ticket is good for the entire day and we took advantage of going up a second time later in the day. We also toured the Museum Ship Valley Camp and were able to get a discounted rate by visiting both.

To me, this object looks more like “after military” one with its very rough elevation.
When you rich the top, you will be amazed by beautiful view of the city, the canal, Soo Locks, St. Marys River and Canadian shore.
I was there in October, during changing the colors, so the view was even more amazing.
Before we get to the top, we saw 15 minute movie about the history of region.
Even on the top you can learn a lot about the city, how it was growing because of the Locks.
There are two levels on the top of tower. You can stay inside or go out having view almost in all directions.
If you are in the city, don’t miss the Tower.
It’s not free, but it’s worth to pay and visit.

I had been here many years ago but I didn't remember much about it. The main floor is full of many artifacts and pictures/drawings covering many topics. Take the time to read the information to get a good understanding of the importance of the Soo and the Soo Locks. Its the very first settlement in what now is Michigan. There is a elevator that will take you up into the tower and outside viewing decks. Spectacular! You can see 360 degrees. There are plaques that tell you what structures you are looking at. If you time your visit right you can see fighters going through the locks.

The trip was worth it because of the history here. Unfortunate that the building is not kept up at all.

For $7 it wasn't worth it. It's just an elevator ride. Cobwebs everywhere when you get to the top. It's a concrete tower. Not a big deal.

Thank you for the review. Sorry you felt it wasn’t worth the cost, I will look into why our staff have not been keeping up on removing the cobwebs, they do show back up every morning.

Glad we did it, but not really something we see as doing twice. You get some views of the city and harbor. For what we got out of it, I think it was worth half what we paid.

Sorry just saw this today, unfortunately we are not wheelchair accessible. We have about 10 steps total to get to where the elevator is.
