The border patrol was very courteous on both sides of the bridge. However, since I had recently had a hospital x-ray, I set off the geiger counter. They were very nice about it and after a few minutes we were on our merry way. Just...More

While obviously necessary if you want to go across the border not on a boat, this bridge is worth driving over for the excellent view it gives you of the Soo Locks. And so you can say you've been to Canada :) It's well kept.

The views were great from the bridge - but it is only 2 lanes; one each way! Quite old as well. There also was construction on it causing some minor delays.

This bridge was an interesting one to cross over and to hear how it was constructed. You need a passport to cross over one one side or the other of the the US/Canadian border.

The best thing about the International Bridge (other than there is no alternative) is the views from part of the drive. The bridge is narrow, curved, steep and had barriers to the view at the highest points. But as I said, it gets you there.

Another big, nice bridge, but it goes to another country! Be sure you have your PASSPORT and be serious when talking to the checkpoint personnel! They do not joke around!!!

The Soo bridge features sweeping views of the great lakes and overhead views of the major canal. At night, each side it lit up with its own patriotic colours - The customs areas on each side are small by comparison to other crossings with weekends...More

It's fun crossing the St. Mary's bridge, I think. When approaching the Canadian side, you can really get a birds eye view of the St. Mary's falls, and the trails that run through the Whitefish island Indian reserve park and the Saulte Saint Marie Canal...More

The view is wonderful from the bridge! The American side looks nice as it is lit with red, white and blue lights at night.
