The tea house was closed the day we visited as they were cleaning up from an event that was held over the weekend. One of the docents was kind enough to give us a brief history of the tea house and its construction. Would definitely...More

Cultural experiences are always fascinating. This was okay but a bit boring. The gardens were nothing special. It's only $10 but I doubt I would do it again nor would I recommend it.

I had to get my steps in...even in the rain. It was still beautiful with an umbrella. I wish I had time to stay for the tea event, but was pressed for time. I plan to come back to try the tea.

Do go for one of the tea ceremonies. Very special/unique experience. The grounds are lovely. The teahouse is the real deal - constructed by Japanese artisans. The festival they hold annually is also good fun - many entertaining, interesting acts.
