This was a fun place to visit. To watch young and old laughing and having fun was such a joy. We walked up the river about 1/8th of a mile to get away from the crowd and only found small "Falls." But, it was peaceful...More

These aren't very big falls--but the fun is that everyone can get into the water and play around--and lots of folks were doing that----it was neat to see folks allowed to play in the falls like in the old days--not just look at them

Yes - this fall is small - however, it was great to sit in and let the water cascade over us. We had a great time visiting in September. It happened to be about 90 degrees which made it perfect for playing around in the...More

If you are expecting Niagara Falls, turn around and don’t waste your time. Yes, some might not view these as a waterfall, but it is still a nice little stop to break up a trip. We enjoyed the picturesque scenery and a place to stretch...More

This spot is truly the definition of a hidden gem. There is now a all-access ramp that can take you right down next to the falls! And you can swim in these falls!! I’d recommend sandals and bug spray, but playing in a waterfall is...More

For the 'largest' falls in the Lower Peninsula of MI., not even worth the little walk to it! Not that 'large' at all!! Disappointing!!

This is a wonderful little place tucked away from everything- a short drive from Cheboygan or Gaylord. Mother Nature at her best! Great fishing & swimming spot. Definitely worth a short drive on your way up to Mackinac Island! Places to picnic, grill &just chill!

Ocqueoc Falls (pronounced Ah-kee-ahk) is a wonderful place. It's not your typical waterfall, more like a series of rapids similar to the lower falls at Tahquamenon. Unlike at Tahquamenon, however, you can still get down into the water and splash around the rocks. Kids will...More

Stayed @ the UAW center on our way to the UP and visited Ocqueoc Falls in the evening. The grand kids were a bit young to enjoy swimming in the falls, but they will go next time when they are older. There were kids and...More

I think the falls would be too rough for a three year old in a kayak. The water is quite fast moving and rocky. You would be better off to go to one of the beaches on Grand Lake or Lake Huron. There is a sandy beach with... More
