Petoskey seems very special in winter despite the snow and/or slush! The lampposts were still decorated with greenery, red bows, and twinkling lights. It makes winter so much more enjoyable. The shops always seem to have many worthwhile items to buy including necessary items as...More

Petoskey has wisely zoned big box stores miles away from the boutique style shopping of the Gaslight District. Here you will find a wonderful choice of clothing, books, lodging, kitchen ware, ice cream, art galleries, jewelry, outdoor gear, fine wine, local realtors, restaurants and more...More

This area has a number of very unique shops, with friendly employees and good service. There is a wonderful bookstore (which is hard to find these days). It's a great place to wander and shop.

the gaslight district is within many blocks and for being named the gaslight district you would think that most places would be open, we were there on a Friday night at 6 pm and about the only places open were Restaurants.

A wonderful downtown area to visit if folks enjoy browsing unusual retail shops and sampling the fare at a variety of eateries. Wear comfortable shoes because you'll likely be window-shopping for several hours!
