I first visited this place back in 2002 or 2003. Not a bad place. Back in September I decided to visit again for old time's sake. However, like the previous two reviewers, they were closed despite the fact that I came during their open hours....More

Website, voicemail greeting and the sign on the door all said open daily from 12-5. We went on Wednesday July 5th at 3:30 pm. It was closed. My grandson was looking forward to it all day, and was very disappointed. This is the museum in...More

The website said they were open. The sign on their door said they were open. Their voicemail said they were open. However, they were locked up tight without a soul around. They refused to return my calls or emails. Try explaining this to a child...More

This is right on the main strip (Whitaker Road) on the way to downtown. What a great stop! Kids and adults alike will dig this. It's not a long time in there - we did the tour in an hour+, because we wanted to take...More

The NBRM is a gem of a museum. There are lots of interesting artifacts and creative displays that tell of the local history--yes there is an emphasis on the railroads impact on that history, but this is MUCH MORE than a railroad museum. The staff...More

The lady which welcomed us was very friendly. The museum is small but interesting. I recommend that you do the tour which is about 20 minutes. It was fun to go out back and walk around in actual train cars.

This small, family firiendly museum is a great find. If you like to learn a little history of the place you are visiting or love, this is it. Staff is great.

It was cold, rainy and just a bummer of a day so perfect for checking out this place! It is a not for profit train museum and there is a lovely lady running it who gives a free tour. She is very knowledgeable and we...More

This is a nice museum that has some great old railroad memorabilia, along with two fullsize cars you can tour. One which is especially interesting is a WW2 troop carrier. There also is a nice HO layout you can see.

This is a very quick trip, but if you have little ones that like trains, it will make them happy. The military cars are very hot if you are there in the dead of summer-
