This is an impressive Citadelle worth a visit for the views alone. There are a number of resturants within the Citadelle. Ample free parking available nearby. There is no charge for entry to the Citadelle.More

We were there for 2 days, walk around a lot. The history of the place is impressive (well marked throughout the place in both French and english), clean and well keept.

The Citadel of Blaye is impressive and was a massive fortress. It is definitely worth visiting when you're in Blaye. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this impressive tourist sight is free.More

The citadel le is completely open and free. There is no entry charge, in fact you can drive into it and the day we were there the parking was easier than in town. There are several restaurants inside the citadelle. Fantastic views over the estuary....More
